Happy Texas Independence Day! Today we not only celebrate the greatest state in the Union, but we honor those who fought to free us from the yoke of oppression and tyranny.
At the Virginia Theological Seminary, we too pay homage to the Lone Star.

And who would have ever thought that you would become such a Texan through and through? Your “adopted” state of Texas and its long history finds itself much like your “birth” state in its struggles to survive and promote freedom for the people. Interesting that you would end up in another state that had once found itself to be republic as they both followed their paths to being part of the United States. I can hear you repeating the Texas pledge now!!! Chris Abbott
